Not Ready to Say Goodbye?
Instead of deleting your account permanently, you can pause your membership. This will:
- Hide your profile from other members
- Keep all your matches and conversations saved
- Let you return anytime without re-verification
To pause your account, go to Settings → Account → Pause Membership in the app.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Important: This Action Cannot Be Undone
Once your account is deleted, you cannot recover your profile, matches, messages, or verification status. You will need to go through the full verification process again if you decide to rejoin LoveLock.
Data We Delete Immediately
- •Your profile information and photos
- •All matches and conversations
- •Your preferences and settings
- •Event RSVPs and attendance records
- •Your email and contact information
Data We Retain (Legal Requirements)
- •Transaction records (for tax/accounting)
- •Background check results (7 years, legal requirement)
- •Records of safety violations or bans
- •Anonymized analytics data
This data is retained for legal compliance, fraud prevention, and safety purposes as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
How to Delete Your Account
Delete Through the App
The quickest way to delete your account is directly through the LoveLock app:
- 1. Open the LoveLock app on your phone
- 2. Go to Profile → Settings
- 3. Scroll down and tap Account Settings
- 4. Select Delete Account
- 5. Review the information and confirm deletion
- 6. You'll receive a confirmation email within 24 hours
Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

- •Email address associated with your account
- •Phone number (if applicable)
- •Reason for deletion (optional, helps us improve)
Response time: We'll process your request within 5 business days and send you a confirmation email once complete.
Deletion Timeline
Request Submitted
Your account is marked for deletion and your profile becomes invisible to other members immediately.
Waiting Period
Your account enters a 30-day waiting period. During this time, you can cancel the deletion request by contacting support.
Permanent Deletion
After 30 days, your account and all associated data (except legally required records) are permanently deleted. This cannot be undone.
Canceling Your Subscription
Important: Deleting Your Account Does NOT Cancel Subscriptions
If you have an active paid membership, you must cancel your subscription separately through your iOS or Android device settings. Deleting your account will not automatically cancel billing.

- 2. Tap your name at the top
- 3. Tap Subscriptions
- 4. Select LoveLock Dating
- 5. Tap Cancel Subscription
🤖 Android (Google Play)
- 1. Open Google Play Store
- 2. Tap Menu → Subscriptions
- 3. Select LoveLock Dating
- 4. Tap Cancel Subscription
- 5. Follow the instructions
